Together, we can achieve supply chain confidence.

When your supply chain presents uncertainty, turn to LIDD to develop actionable plans. Control your inventory, enter new channels, optimize your network, and make wise capital investments.

We find opportunities in supply chain challenges.

Strengthen your supply chain to excel against the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Our team of supply chain consultants optimizes your existing operations and prepare you for future disruption. Whether you’re running out of space, operating inefficiently, or struggling with costs, we can help you reconfigure or automate your location to drive efficiencies or identify the need to build a new location.

Our work is data-driven and business-centric. LIDD’s analysts, engineers, designers, and industry experts partner with you to solve targeted challenges and achieve broad transformation.

Operations Audits & Roadmaps

As your business grows, existing processes come under strain. Sometimes you don’t know where to start. We turn business plans into comprehensive supply chain roadmaps: transforming physical infrastructure, organizational processes, and technology. We can spell it out in black & white – is a new building justified? What software system should you implement first? Is automation appropriate for your operation? We speak your language.

Distribution Network Design

Where should your DCs be located? Who should operate them? Our experts optimize your network infrastructure for cost, service-level, and resiliency. Traditional network design is focused on transportation, however about 50% of overall costs take place within the warehouse. LIDD applies proprietary tools to consider the full picture, delivering capital-justified network recommendations.

Outsourcing vs. Self-Distribution

Should I use a 3PL or build a new facility? It’s complicated. Our consultants present the data-driven insights and projections you need to make the best decisions for your business.

3PL Selection & Integration

Leverage experienced professionals to select the best 3PL for you. From a foundation of detailed data analysis, we manage a structured process from RFP development, to evaluation, to implementation.

Business Process Design

Develop integrated business management processes like S&OP with the guidance of an expert. Gain insight into key supply chain drivers and exercise control throughout the supply chain.

Frequently Asked Questions

LIDD’s network studies provide a clear, data-driven view of how your network, facilities, and systems actually operate. We analyze material flows, inventory policies, transportation patterns, labor productivity, and overall network structure. Our teams visit sites, interview stakeholders, and review system data to understand where bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or risks exist.

The result is a comprehensive roadmap that highlights network improvement opportunities, and identifies the operational, technical, and financial levers available to improve performance. Many clients follow the network study with work in digital transformation or move into targeted facility improvements through distribution center design.

An assessment becomes actionable when insights are translated into a phased, realistic roadmap. After diagnosing issues, we model alternatives, quantify impacts, and prioritize initiatives based on ROI, risk, and organizational readiness. Each recommendation includes clear owners, timelines, and operational requirements.

The roadmap may include process changes, system enhancements, network redesign, or automation opportunities. When needed, we integrate this plan with broader technology work through supply chain technology or with long-term facility initiatives supported by distribution center design.

Our teams model how your supply chain will perform under different growth, demand, or risk scenarios. Through dedicated operations audits & roadmaps, we examine capacity limits, service requirements, labor constraints, supplier risk, and inventory policies to determine where the network may break under pressure.

From there, we build strategies that support scalable, resilient operations—whether that means redesigning your network, strengthening planning capabilities, or modernizing critical systems. Many companies pair this work with our Digital Transformation practice or explore automation pathways through logistics automation to boost throughput and reliability.

We use a combination of diagnostic frameworks, data analytics, simulation tools, and network optimization models to understand how your supply chain performs today—and how to improve it. This includes SKU profiling, capacity modeling, slotting analyses, transportation optimization, and labor productivity studies using proprietary algorithms built in Altair, Anylogic and Anylogostics.

Our teams also leverage system data from ERP, WMS, and production systems to validate findings and uncover gaps between planned and actual performance. When needed, we connect insights to technology modernization initiatives through supply chain technology or to future facility design work via distribution center design.

Operational improvements mean little if they don’t drive real business value. That’s why every recommendation includes a financial analysis supported by cost modeling, scenario evaluation, and expected ROI or payback. We quantify the impact of changes on labor, inventory, transportation, service levels, and capital investments.

Our teams work with finance, operations, and leadership to validate assumptions and ensure the roadmap aligns with budget cycles, growth plans, and service commitments. This integrated approach is a core part of our work in supply chain strategy consulting and often connects to downstream system improvements within supply chain technology.

LIDD doesn’t just hand you a report and walk away. After completing an initial assessment and roadmap, we look forward to implementing our recommendations—whether that means optimizing processes, redesigning a facility, introducing new systems, or supporting automation in a practical, actionable way.

We bring engineers, software specialists, and operational experts together to ensure that recommendations become real, measurable outcomes in the field. Clients frequently continue into implementation work through distribution center design or system modernization initiatives within supply chain technology.

We want to meet you.
